A great travel pillow which makes those long haul journeys a bit more bearable

The J pillow is a slightly odd elephant looking object. As a result you’d be forgiven for overlooking it but as it was awarded British invention of the year in 2013 we thought it was worth a try and we’re glad we did.

The first thing I noticed was that it is incredibly lovely and soft. The contents is well stuffed with a polyester filling, ensuring it is plump and fits well around your neck and chin.  I found there was limited to no slack in it which made it very supportive.

What sets this apart from your run of the mill travel pillow is the chin support.  It’s a very welcome feature as often when I’m travelling I manage to wake myself up by nodding forwards. It also comes with a handy velcro clip that you can use to attach the pillow to your hand luggage or possibly a seat belt if you are travelling in the car.

If you would prefer to pack the pillow up in a bag, it folds to the size of a small football.  However, as it is so plump, it very quickly bounces back to its original shape.  To keep it folded for more than a few seconds you may want to invest in a strap to wrap around it.

Overall, this is a great travel pillow and I would highly recommend it, especially if you are about to embark on a long haul flight.  Currently on sale at Amazon, so great value.  No more leaning (and drooling!) on your neighbouring passenger’s shoulder!
