Bamboosa Lap Log Pillow review (Soft iPad & Tablet Stand)

A hands free tablet stand that doubles up as a travel pillow
My mum uses her iPad all the time. If she’s not shopping, she’s Face Timing. So I wanted to get her a quirky iPad related gadget and stumbled upon what looked like an iPad pillow, the Bamboosa Lap Log.
Like all the best products it’s a simple idea, a traditional tablet stand that fits into a beanbag-like pillow that you can rest on a counter or your lap. It frees up the hand that is usually holding the tablet so you can use both hands to type. It’s also ideal for cosying down to watch a movie on the sofa or in bed as you are hands free for hours at a time.
The Lap Log is made with 100% sustainable materials, namely organic cotton, buckwheat hull filling and wood. The casing is durable and comes in a variety of colours, while the filling is sturdier than your average bean bag. It is delivered with an extra bag of hull which can be used to either plump up the Log to the max or add to the case if it starts to sag over time.
The roll supposedly also makes for a handy neck or travel pillow. It is also washable. I’ll get mum to report back on that!
The Lap Log works with all regular sized tablets so you don’t have to worry about compatibility.
The only potential downside is the price. At £34.99 it’s not cheap but it’s an environmentally friendly, quality product that will get daily use and shouldn’t need replacing for a long time so I think it’s worth the initial investment. I’d certainly recommend it as an alternative gift for any tablet lover.
